Rain is supposed to be good luck on your wedding day. Especially when you can easily move your wedding under cover while still enjoying the view of lush gardens. Saturday promised to be full of surprising weather; thunderstorms, heavy rain, cooler temperatures. And, wow, did it deliver. The rain eventually tapered off and left everything in the garden look super fresh and green. Instead of proceeding with the garden wedding, we opted to set up under the covered terrace, and easily accommodated 150 guests. As the evening began to fall, guests watched as a beautiful bride clutched her father’s arm and walked calmly down a pink petal strewn aisle under hundreds of twinkling lights. Water falling over the edge of the garden fountain paired with the ethereal white draping completed the romantic feel of the evening.
Before joining guests inside, the amazing photographers from 35 Atlanta took advantage of the break in rain; they were able to capture some amazing photos in the garden at the pergola and around the garden grounds with the bridal party.
After enjoying cocktails on the terrace, guests moved into the draped reception space complete with white uplighting. Stylish Stems provided table scapes featuring charcoal linens, white hydrangea, pink and white roses, silver julep cups and crystal hurricanes. After enjoying dinner, and first dances by the bride and groom, guests gathered around the magnificent 5 tier round wedding cake provided by Confection Perfection. Flowers, artfully arranged by Stylish Stems, topped the cake and accented each layer. After enjoying cake, it was time to dance! DJ Bora Bora moved the dance floor outside to the terrace and kept guests dancing well into the evening.
When the evening came to a close, we sent the sweet couple off with glo-sticks. That’s right, guests clutched 3 or 4 glo-sticks in each hand, waving happily as the couple ran through a tunnel of electric light. One word: Amazing.
Your wedding was an amazing event, Maegan & Tyler! Thank you for letting Venue 92 be a part of your big day!
